Our Programs

ToTH Montessori, Capitol Hill’s first and only licensed Montessori program for children between the ages of 1 and 5, was founded as Toddlers on the Hill in 2012 by and for Capitol Hill parents who were looking for enrichment and socialization for their young children. Today, ToTH offers Capitol Hill families toddler-age and primary (3-6) authentic Montessori programs led by our experienced, certified Montessori teachers, and licensed by the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).

Our two toddler programs operate Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm ((Spanish bilingual) and 2:30-5:30pm, from early August through early July. Our classroom is located at the Douglas Memorial United Methodist Church at 11th and H Street NE (there is no religious affiliation to our program). Children attend between two and five sessions a week, subject to availability, and must be between 15 and 30 months of age when starting our toddler program  (If your child is on the cusp, come talk to us!).

The children are guided by a certified Montessori teacher and a co-teacher, and 1 trained parent volunteer. Parent Volunteers receive a significant discount off of their child’s participation fees, in addition to invaluable guidance and support from our teachers.
